The Finnish American Football Association (SAJL) is the national governing body for American football in Finland. SAJL supports clubs and participants and promotes safe, inclusive, and enjoyable physical activity for children and young people across the country.
The Finnish American Football Association (SAJL) is the national governing body for American football and flag football in Finland. The federation develops and coordinates the activities of both sports throughout the country and supports clubs, coaches, and volunteers in organizing high-quality and safe sporting activities.
SAJL’s goal is to provide children and young people with an inspiring, safe, and equal opportunity to be physically active and participate in team sports. The core values of its activities are enjoyment, teamwork, fair play, and accessible development pathways for everyone – from first-time participation to long-term involvement. The federation actively works to ensure that American football and flag football are open and easily accessible sports for children of all ages and their families.
